Hiking with Bedouin Paths

We do 7, 10 & 14 day hikes in both the mountains and the deserts around the small town of Katherine, in southern Sinai. Katherine is home to the worlds oldest monastery, St Katherines and it lies next to Mount Sinai, of Moses fame. You spend the first and last night in Katherine at the Bedouin Camp with the nights in the middle spent in Bedouin gardens or settlements in the mountains and desert.

Customer review

We all absolutely loved it - a unique and challenging experience. best wishes & many thanks
- Jane Steele

It more than exceeded all our expectations, the guiding, the terrain, the service etc etc. and we will all be recommending your outfit.
- Tess Fletcher

We had a great week on a testing mountain hike in a desert that was anything but boring. At the end of it we had a genuine insight into the Bedouin and their country plus we had the warm feeling that we had funded a teacher for their children.

Ethical Hiking with Bedouin Paths

Ethical Hiking

Have a unique and wonderful journey through Sinai, and make a difference to those you pass on the way. 10% of all revenues goes to funding local education and the rebuilding of the bedouin mountain gardens

Bedouin Paths has two key roles in the local community; and educating the local children in English is one of them. Bedouin Paths sources, funds and employs qualified English teachers to teach the local children at no charge. Five people on a 7 day hike pays for the school for a month.
